Many of my fashion staples stem from my childhood, personality and passions. One of them are OXFORDS.
My grandmother bought me a pair when I was a young girl. While everyone liked to wearing sneakers and boots, I wanted to wear my OXFORDS. Those were not "cool" so I stopped wearing them.
